Fabriquer le tour a metal
Gingery - La quincaillerie
Building the Gingery metal
lathe - Some hardware
And here is some hardware I paid dearly. This cost me around 60$
canadian and I have (some) spare.
This of course includes the cold rolled steel required for the ways.
Here are the ways, the clamps and the gibs bars. Those where the
expensive parts.
And here more hardware to complete the project. The taps are 1/4-20,
3/8-16 and 5/16-14.
I got the bearings for 3$ a piece so I will not use the brass sleeves.
35$ CDN total this time, Taps included.
The round tube is nylon plastic tubing. I'm going to make my journal
bearings with it.
Nylon should be pretty good there. This is a 3/8" piece of all-thread
there used for a test.
